Medicine Making Workshop
Rediscover the wisdom of plants and create your own herbal remedies.
Service Description
I spent a decade teaching workshops and developing diplomas at a naturopathic college, and education is a key gift I love to share. Especially when its teaching people to connect with our herbal allies! Join me for a nourishing, hands-on introduction to herbal medicine making. In this three hour workshop, we’ll utilise medicinal plants and you will learn how to transform them into practical remedies you can use at home. You’ll be guided through making herbal teas (infusions and decoctions), poultices, infused oils, healing creams, tinctures and honey elixirs. A delicious, nutritious platter will be provided to nourish and ground you throughout the afternoon. This workshop blends traditional plant wisdom with practical skills, sensory learning, and connection to nature. You’ll leave with handmade remedies, foundational knowledge, and a deeper confidence in working with plants as medicine. Workshop must contain a minimum of 8 attendees. I remember when I started to learn about the healing benefits of plants, I felt like this secret world was being shared with me. Everywhere around me, in the cracks of pavement, in the native bush I walked past, in the fields and hedgerows medicine and nutrition could be found. When I learned how to turn these into various forms of medicine there was a deep sense of self reliance and a comfort that came from that knowledge. You too can experience this!
